The actual flow rate Q of the servo valve is a function of the spool position and the pressure drop across the metering side of the spool. The structure of permanent magnet linear motor is shown in Figure 3. Its working principle: The linear motor is a permanent magnet differential motor that provides some of the required magnetic force. The current required by the linear motor is significantly lower than that required by proportional electromagnetic coils of the same magnitude. The linear motor has a neutral neutral neutral position, because it will generate force and stroke as soon as it deviates from the neutral position, and the force and stroke are proportional to the current. During the outward extension of the linear motor, the alignment force generated by the high stiffness spring and the external additional force (i.e., hydraulic force and friction caused by contamination) must be overcome.
