Parker Praedifa Profiles G5 and G6 have a rectangular cross-section. In contrast to the G5 profile, the G6 profile has thicker sealing lips and therefore brushes the oil. When the engine is depressurized they extend even more intensely. These profiles are mainly called cylinder seals. It is also possible to use them to seal piston lengths. ln this case, however, no plastic support ring can be used. The profile G6 can also be provided with an outwardly sloping connection. Therefore they usually do not have a support ring, because the sealing edge is below the total height.
